Mother had been in stasis, so to speak, while we were on planet. She handled our network, but she wasn't actively operating the ship and maintaining a myriad of life supports that make the ship livable.

Dispersing the system would be wise, but it would mean dispersing parts of herself. She is as much machine as she is a creature or a being.

[A different tune than when she spoke to Dagger, but she knows that she cannot control Mother as she could control a created little beast like he spoke.]

They will. They are are harsh and strict but they're not stupid. If we need something, we only need to prove the how and the why.
