These are both quite accurate assessments! Though in fairness, his "maturity" is more a sign of his station. He inherited his title quite young, so he is expected to act in the capacity of an earl.

Well, I would compare it to running a business. There are financial and legal responsibilities an earl undertakes with their title, and it falls to them to manage these.

Most do not take their title until they are at least legally an adult, but my young master insisted at the age of twelve. Surprisingly, he does quite good work as well.
