[She tilts her head as she sits on the bunk, legs cross and leaning on her hands.] Are you alright?

[wethrinaer]

[he grins a little at her and waves a dismissive hand]

Fine. Too much talking the other day.

[and shouting, and all that]

[She lifts a brow.] Is that so? And sit down, you're making me anxious.

[wethrinaer]

[he raises both eyebrows, but nods and moves to sit next to her. He scoots back a little bit to sit crosslegged]

[She'll match up next to him just so she can use his shoulder as a head prop. This is her completely giving up on life.]

I truly think this place will be the end of my youth and good looks, Maias. Remember me as I was, not as I am.

[wethrinaer]

[he lets out a sound that could be a laugh, if it had any actual noise to it. Maias puts his arm around her waist]

I doubt that.

[diamondhack]

Easy for you to say, you didn't live in fear of a bomb exploding in your face. [She sighs shortly.] You seem to be taking all of this in stride.

[wethrinaer]

No, I live with a different sort of fear. [he'd rather a bomb blow up in his face] Should I be taking it another way?

[diamondhack]

You could be taking it another way. [She turns her head upward to kiss the curve of his jaw.] That is entirely different from how you should be taking it.

[wethrinaer]

[well then. She had a very good point, one that he was suddenly finding very hard to ignore]

How forward of you. [that wasn't a complaint]

[She grins.] I'm nothing if not an honest thief.

[wethrinaer]

That's a little bit more than honest, my dear. [he was used to forward women . . . from his time and world. This was distinctly different]

[Honestly, that was one of the few times she didn't mean it like that but she's not about to complain when he's alright with it.] Are you averse to it, Maias?

[wethrinaer]

[he leans in to kiss her, brief, before he draws back to look at her again] You would know if I were.

[diamondhack]

[Now she (finally) takes off her glasses because she wants to get a damn good look at him.] Now aren't you glad I'm honest?

[wethrinaer]

I prefer honesty, you should know that by now.

[sitting up is too much effort, though; he's still exhausted, and while Isha is a very, very pleasant surprise considering he'd been planning on sleeping more, being upright just wasn't in his plans.

So he compromises. The arm around her waist pulls her closer, and he shifts so they can flop back onto his bunk, at least as comfortable as they can be]

[She laughs lightly when she gets pulled back.

Her fingers reach up and skim his cheek.] I seem to lie to everyone except you lately.

[wethrinaer]

Is that such a bad thing? One cannot lie all the time.

[diamondhack]

I've yet to decide.

[wethrinaer]

[he catches her hand and turns his head to kiss the palm]

Well, whatever you wish to tell me doesn't go beyond us. It isn't as though I haven't let a few of my lies slip with you.

[diamondhack]

[She likes his lips on her palm. She likes the attention he's giving her.

Isha smiles a little.] You'll be the first to know.

[wethrinaer]

Should I look forward to it?

[diamondhack]

[She turns into him, closing the space between them, or at least, what little there already was.] Perhaps.

[wethrinaer]

Leaving it up to me, then?

[she can get as close as she wants]

Why ruin the surprise?
